What is this? burn? Scale rot?

I noticed this while doing some cleaning. He is kept in ideal conditions. Eats well, hasn't missed a meal yet.

cautions looked just like that, only it ws in several places all up his belly.. he had it since we got him, this shed is the first one hes had with us and its GONE completely.. im no tsure if its the same thing or not but it looks to be. good luck with your bp

Looks like an old piece of belly skin that didn't come off with the last shed.

Should I remove it, or let it be? I ran my finger over it and it does stick out a little but I made no attempt to remove it.
