Re: hairless rats..
My friend had two... I remember when she got them years ago she called every pet store within 2 hours of where we live to find them...
You might have some luck trying an online company that can ship them for you.

Re: hairless rats..
Just make sure you do some reading on them - they need special care, different from regular rats! I would recommend a fuzzy friend for your hairless :)

Re: hairless rats..
I have a hairless male, and he doesn't require any special care different than any other rat. Just make sure he has plenty to eat, as hairless will eat more due to a faster metabolism.
he tends to get scratched more, not having a coat for protection, and I use neosporin on the more serious scratches and cuts.

Re: hairless rats..
we decided to just get two more "normal" females.. i would like to someday have a hairless much like i would love to someday have a piebald... someday. i measured our enclosure for the rats adn its 32x32x18 and according to the cage calculator (i can post likes in your curious) says i can have up to 5 in the cage.. the new girls are in quarentine to be sure they dont have sniffles or anything but they are both very nice.. a bit younger than our other females, weaned on 8-4. we got a creme and a brown, something to mix it up a bit ;)
