Am I the only one....
....who plays with their kids' stuffed toys like they're real? :D
My son has a stuffed Mushu who's his favorite "buddy" in the whole world. Well, Mushu has an intense love for "dragon peppers" (that would be pretty much ANY spicy pepper), although his buddy (my son) can't stand peppers of any sort.
Anyhoo... so we had chinese for dinner tonight and mine came with these insanely hot, nearly black little peppers (the peppers from Hell! :D) so I grab Mushu and ask my son if he thinks Mushu would like one of my dragon peppers. Well OF COURSE Mushu wants my dragon peppers...he's a fire breathing dragon....duh Mom!
So I "feed" this pepper to Mushu, who, afterward, proceeds to let off the longest jet stream of fire ever!
The kids loved it! :D
So, does anyone else play with their kids' toys? :rolleye2:

Re: Am I the only one....
Not a mom yet, either, but an aunt. And, yes, I play with her toys, lol. I LOVE being able to act two years old... it's the most amazing thing, seeing the world through a kid's eyes again.

Re: Am I the only one....
I would agree!
Being a parent can really be a pain in the butt sometimes but it DOES have its benefits.... you can spend hours in the toy store playing with everything and no one looks at you weird or calls for security! ;)
I love playing with my kids and their toys. We play it up too, different voices for different toys, sound effects, the whole nine yards. Heck, even their dad gets in on it, but then again, when it comes to "play time" it's DAD that I have to tell to calm down... not the kids! :O My husband and the kids' toys have this special bond, especially he and Mushu....
Mike goes to get a "hug" from one of the kids stuffed toys and suddenly the toys attack him, biting him on the neck and face, jumping on his head and gnawing on him, clawing him to pieces, while the whole time my husband is squirming, screeching and begging for someone (one of the kids) to help get the wild beast off him....to which the kids don't, they're too busy laughing at dad getting the snot beaten out of him by a little baby lion.
Mushu and Dad do NOT get along. Every time they "look" at each other, Dad starts threatening to beat Mushu up... so the next battle begins.
*sighs* God I love my insane family. :D

Play with THEIR toys?? Heck, I play with MY toys! :)
Although I do have an 8 year old daughter, and used to make her toys move and dance for her, she now lives in Austin with her dad. Despite this, I still play with my own toys. I collect realistic stuffed animals (number is around 160+ I believe) and have a good number of Breyer and other brand model horses.
Remember, you're only as old as you act! :D (Not feel...for me that would be around 60)

Re: Am I the only one....
None of my toys are stuffed so.... :D
Although I do play with them too...except right after they've eaten. Well, except the tarantulas, after they've eaten is the best time to take them out for a romp... but not my slitheries... of course. :D
