I just got a baby a few weeks ago, is it normal for these silly things to pretend their asleep so you will leave them alone? Just wondering I think its pretty funny!

Yes, it is pretty normal. It's quite funny too, sometimes mine will just close one eye, and look like popeye lol.

Actually it isn't normal at all for them to "pretend" to be asleep, they should always be alert, running around, or basking with their heads up unless it is lights out and they are sleeping. Also they should not be closing one eye alot.

Your baby should be active, as they get older they tend to be more slug like.

Sluggish behavior can mean parasites or just that your temps are off- or you know the drill, the half million things that can be wrong with your herp if...

I would look around the eye really carefully, sometimes they will retain shed around their eyelid. Or if it's a baby it could very well be in shed and bugging him/her.

Double check your temps and all that good stuff.

    How's the appetite?
And of course, how are the BMs?
