    Questions
I got my first ball python a month ago and i was wanting to know the following:

How often do they shed? Its been a month should he be due a shed soon?

How often do they use the bathroom? Its also been a month and he has not had a boul movement. Should he be due for this?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your first snake! :)

To answer your questions, young Balls will typically shed every 1-2 months depending on several factors especially how much its eating. If you've had him for a month you should start to see a shed cycle pretty soon. His eyes will turn blue, and his skin will turn darker and more dull.

As far as having a bowel movement, they will usually defecate anywhere from once a week to once every couple of months.

Got him on 7-14-7 and still no sign on a shed about to happen. Also still no bowel movement.

As was said before, there is no set schedule for either of those things. If you make it to two months without a bowl movement, perhaps a vet visit would be in order. Don't stress about it. Make sure your husbandry is perfect and the snake will do it's own thing when it is ready.
