    Georgia Aquarium
Today we were fortunate enough to take the kids to the GA aquarium. They LOVED it! We spent 6 hours there I think. My legs are tired and sore, but dang it was worth it. Very impressive and worth the trip. I'll share a couple pics.... I took a few.... :D

I wish I could get all my pics of the Toronto Zoo's fish off my old phone... I understand the long days... I think last time I was there it was an 8 hour trip! Now I want to go back!!!

OMG you are so lucky! Great pics too

one of my goals in life is to go to that Aquarium. I am hoping the American Cichlid Association has its annual convention in Atlanta again in the next few years so I can go and get the 'Behind the Scenes' tour in addition to the regular tour.

Oh Sarah, that Beluga was hysterical. His name was Niko (also the name of my adorable nephew), and he just LOVED the attention at the window. He was such a major ham! Apparently, they are very social animals but I just loved that shot of him.

I was also completely wiped and itchy. (as I have a terrible case of poison ivy as well - although I just got a lovely shot in the hip and some meds which should make me feel a bit better soon! oh please, oh please, oh please)

I'm so glad we were able to go. I could have stayed until it closed and not gotten enough. The tanks were larger than live and you just felt like you were under water too.

Oh, I also forgot to mention our sad .. yet extremely humorous... episode yesterday. We took the kids to see the 3D movie there. The Deepo adventure (oh so close to copyright infringement but just far enough since Home Depo is the sponsor) is a very cute little movie about why we should care about sea conservation cartoon style. It also has the sprays of water and such. We forgot to mention that part to the kids I guess, and when the jellyfish stings (aka strings) it completely freaked my 5 yr old daughter out. I mean COMPLETELY freaked out. She sat on my lap shivering for the remainder of the show. It was so completely sad, but I couldn't stop laughing.... fortunately it was in the dark. Poor thing shivered for 5 minutes afterward.... and it was NOT by any stretch scary. I just have kids with a very low tolerance for fear. I'm still shaking my head over the whole thing.

My kids were actually ready to go home, but I wasn't...

I'm so glad we went on Friday, as we drove by Sat am and the lines were HUGE!! ACK! :O

Thanks for thinking of me... I kept having to remind myself I'll meet you in a few weeks so I don't have to hunt you down in GA. :D

Derek, I loved that little guy too. The others wouldn't swim closer so that was the best shot I could get. I took soooo many pics, but I stink at taking pics of tanks so on a quarter of them turned out alright.

I can't wait to go back when those whale sharks are larger!!! :psychotic

Awww that ordering lunch pic is too cute! I love the beluga ones, my favorite whales...such gorgeous white creatures with such lovely sweet faces.

Toledo Zoo has a lovely exhibit of those jellies. I could just sit there all day and stare. So relaxing...wish I had a tank of those in my livingroom.

You girls have a great time in Daytona this year. Hopefully next year I'll be joining you for the fun!

Awesome pictures! I've never been to an aquarium, but I've always wanted to go to one. I love how it looks like the fish are flying. Can you imagine how cool it would be to be a wildlife photographer and take pictures like that for a living?? That would be soooo awesome!!
