What are the signs that a bp is about to bite you?

I know my RTB made it very clear she was pissed off right before she bit me, she was constantly hissing. What does a bp do? I don't know because my beautiful girl has never show any signs of being mad at me. Can bps even hiss?

same as other snakes..hissing is one form. you will notice they are in "strike mode" when they make the "S" pattern with their neck and head they are rearing back to strik. just because they make this though doesnt mean they will bite you

-follow your hand if you move it

Not every S pattern is a strike pattern, you will know. Mine wont hiss at me when she strikes, she folows your hand, waits, is excited. And that means she is hungry anyway, she does get sort of cage defensive.Hope it helps!

oh believe me, they can hiss... my het albino i notorious for it.

Some of mine hiss everytime I pick them up. The s position is a good sign that it's on! Lots of fun :D

one good thing to not that they might do before they bite is open their mouth. it might be very quick, and by the time you notice this it's probably to late....

I have a few hisser's who are just bluffers. They will puff up and hiss their heads off but will not strike at me. I have one bluff striker who misses when she strikes by a mile.
