Re: Is this a good deal?
I think it depends how reliable the source is. Hets are great if they are for real and pastel ghosts are awesome. make sure you do you research. I was given a het that never proved out and I am sure their are others on this site that have had similar experiences. Make an educated purchase from a trustworthy breeder and it will save you alot of aggrivation. Best of luck!

Re: Is this a good deal?
i got a male orange ghost and a female pastel het ghost for about that price last year. and yes they were from a reliable breeder.
besides who would want to permanently scare their reputation by selling normals as hets

There are lots of people who are only interested in making a quick buck. They don't give a hoot about reputation. I have heard and seen MANY horror stories of people recieving close to dead animals, hets that never proved out, I even heard from someone they got an animal that wasn't even the species described( corn instead of BP) and that was supposed to be a morph. It happens. My friend paid good $ for 100% albino hets in 2003 and when we tried to prove the female with my male albino nothing but normals(hets). No one know the whereabouts of the breeder, who even knows he used his real name? Most hets take 3-4 years to prove out and good luck finding a scammer after that time.
yea i've heard stories like that that. that's y i rather by a visual recessive but they get to pricy so all my hets some from reputable breeders. i get most of my recessives from jon at AlbinosUnlimited so i know hes a good guy.
