    Craigslist is not all bad..
..for rehoming animals. I know that yes, it has its share of dolts who are trying to unlaod their abused/neglected snakes onto someone else. But recently, I got into contact with an awesome local couple who have been herping for years now and were searching everywhere locally for a nice adult Corn. Well, I rescued the Sunglow corn from a friend, and now that he was not really a good fit in our household, I found this couple who are adopting him. :) I never would have found them without CL; it is not all bad!

I find CL to be great sometimes and horrible other times. It really depends on who you find. I'm glad you found a place to rehome your corn that you rescued.

If that's not the truth. Ours here is awful, I see so many people asking hundreds of dollars for an "adoption fee", people who take the free to good home animals, then turn around and sell them and to top that off, it seems like a legitimate rescue posts are flagged for some reason. It has gotten so bad that I can't stomach going there anymore.

WOW. It sounds like CL near you doesn't have very good people on it. I guess near where I live (boston) CL isn't that bad. There is the occasional adoption fee. But i have seen some very good adds giving snakes away for almost free and most in good conditions.

Well while it wasn't in concerns of the actual animal, I love craigslist. I got a 55 gallon oak trim tank for $35 retails at petco for like $130

Well the adopting couple just came and took him; they are very knowledgible people. We were talking snakes for a little while, and I might have even made an actual sale out of it; they saw that we were incubating eggs, and said that they want a call when we have hatchlings available. :) The guy used to breed, hatch and sell BPs..
It is a shame when people abust CL though and ask market-value "adoption fees" for animals that are really just being sold. Low-lifes. I just charged what I thought was fair, since I did put feedings and time into this snake after he was dumped on me.

Last Monday we picked up a 2.5 year old male Blue Tegu with 125 gallon tank for $200. We had to drive two vehicles (van & car) both ways. He's a little overweight, but doesn't to be in bad shape otherwise. And he's gorgeous!!!

    Some almost finished shed pictures.

I made the 2 piece cover from 3/4" plywood and 1/2" hardware cloth.
