    Something wrong..
So I took out my YB today to play with him and let him get some exercise, when I noticed something very strange- where its normally a nice, gloden yellow on his side by his belly, is purple and grey!! Its mainly by his tail, and hes acting completely normal... Any ideas on what it could be?

from what I can make out in the pic, it looks as though he's bruised, possibly from broken ribs, although I cannot be certain. I would get him to a qualified herp vet immediately.

Do keep in mind that your female could have easily bitten and constricted him, causing bruising/broken ribs/internal damage. Also, if it had been something like a fungal infection(which it doesn't look to be) your female would also be very susceptible to contracting it.

Housing them separately(except for brief periods for breeding) is very important to their health and well-being. They are not a social species and do not require nor do they appreciate company.
