homo x het is better than homo x homo???
I've heard from my friend who said his friend who's a vet said "it's better to use female het because female homo usually have a problem when breed."

How to say this....for example, if I breed male Albino with female Albino. There's a higher chance that female will have health problem when they lay egg, or eggs will not hatch well, or other problems.

My point is does anyone have problem when you use homogyzous female(Albino, Pied, Ghost) to breed? I only know one good thing if you use female het...save a buck or thousand. I need to know fact so I can pass on to my friends who're interested in breeding BP. Now all of them afraid to breed their female morph.

Hope you all understand what I'm trying to say. thanks

    Not true at all.

It's better to do homozygous male to het female because homozygous females are more valuable in producing crosses.

As long as you are responsible enough to outcross your bloodlines, there is nothing about a homozygous female that would make her clutches or offspring any weaker than a heterozygous females.
