My snake hasnt ate in 2weeks is that bad?

My little snake hasn't been eating.
I got him 3 weeks ago.The first week i got him
he ate perfectly fine...but the second and third week
he didnt eat the mice.I feed him the little fuzzy frozen white ones.
On the second week i fed him...he couldn't fit the mouse in his mouth
and he gave up but it was the same size as the other mouse i fed him
on the first week...and now the third week...he didnt even try to eat it.
I even left it over night and it still was in the same place. The mouse was warm
enough for him to eat it...so i dunno whats the problem.The temps are fine.
warm side is 90-95 and cold side is 80-86. I did just get some new to stuff for him like 3 days ago...i got him some new hides, a branch,plants,water bowl,digital thermometer,blue moonlight light for nighttime.Could that be the problem? He does seem curious about the mouse ..i would dangle it for awhile..he will poke his head out of the hide and flick his tongue but doesn't try to eat it.


This is his tank.Is there somthing wrong with it.I do have a digi thermo but its not working...i think it needs batteries.So i use the little thermometers.

Whenever you "re-decorate" the enclosure with new stuff, remember that he needs the time to acclimate to that, so you should give him a week with no handling to get used to it.


I'd also go out and get some batteries or a new digital thermometer, so that you can be 100% sure that your temps and humidity are accurate.

Nice looking set-up if you can regulate the temps with the wasted space (height).

I agree with Robin, and to answer your original question, "is it bad", no it isn't bad. Ball pythons are notorious for fasting for long periods of time...but that doesn't mean let your guard down.

Just my two cents. But your hides may be a little big I don't see your little guy in the hides in any of the pics. Big hides can lead to not eating. Make sure when choosing a hide of a baby that it is some what of a tight squeeze for it. Ball enjoy feeling the hide on all sides.

Thanks, the hides aren't that big..he fits pretty well...at first i thought they were to small for him..but he fits..and he doesn't wanna come out of them either. Ill wait intell next week to feed him and hopefully he'll eat. ^-^
