Re: Related Pastel Lines??
First. its easier to think of Jungle, Lemon, Blonde as a description of the pattern or color they have not the line of pastel they are. Jungle describes the pattern, Lemon describes the tint of yellow the animal contains. This is also true of Blonde pastels. The types of pastels we know today were established by line breeding for aberrant traits. Jungles tend to have a higher amount of blushing and a more broken or busy pattern and a slightly faded yellow. Blondes tend to have a more muted yellow and pattern can very. Lemons have a reduced pattern and little to no blushing. Enchis are the only animal that carry the pastel name that are in debate as to if they are really pastels or "pastel" in nature.
With crossing the Lemon and Jungle because the traits are aberrant your odds out come is unpredictable. However some are better suited for combos example lemons make the best bees due to their bright color and reduced pattern, Jungles make the best supers because of the blushing and fading they tend to have.
Hope I answered some of your questions
Re: Related Pastel Lines??
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I was under the impression that the different lines of pastels were from different specimen from Africa. My mistake.
And I was going to ask about the Enchi too, so thank you, lol.
I'm also sure that the Pastel and the Cinny lines aren't from the same gene either (that combine they're double hets of two different morphs). I just wanted to double check.

Well the first pastels were from different animals in Africa. But like so many other morphs different animals tend to pass on some of their aberrant traits. Are their really reduced bright pastes with little to no blushing produced by Jungles sure and Vise versa.
No pastel and cinni's/black pastels are two/three (depending on your take of Black Pastels) totally different genes. They way we know this is when they are bred together they don't produce a super form ;)
Some Axanthic lines are not compatible. Meaning you can't breed a VPI het to (the name escapes me) het and get Axanthics. So are some Hypo lines.

Yeah, the VPI line and Joliff line aren't compatible. Judging by the snow the Joliff line produces, I've heard it said that they're more likely a Hypoxanthic (way less yellow) than Axanthic (no yellow). Kinda like the difference between Ghosts (hypomelanistic) and Albinos (amelanistic).
Is the SK line of Axanthics compatible with either the VPI or Joliff line?

Hope this helps.
