    Shedding question
My BP went from being "in blue" and very light colored, to looking quite dark/normal looking. I understand this is the next stage of the shedding process. But he still has not shed and it's been 3 days since he switched, and continues to hide all day/night. Is this normal? I have been misting the enclosure frequently so the humidity can help him shed.

I bet he sheds tonight or sometime tomorrow. What you're describing sounds normal :)

Yup, I've read that article through a few times. I guess I'm just paranoid cause it's my first snake. How long after he sheds can I feed him?

Also... I got him approximately two and a half weeks ago. He is maybe 1' to 1'6" long. I fed him a week after I got him and he did fine with the f/t fuzzy mouse. However he has not defecated since I got him. Is this normal or should I be worried?

No worries you can try to feed the day after he sheds. Some will even eat while in blue. The main thing is to keep them on a schedule.

They poop when their ready some poop once a month  some every other week. Keep on the look out most poop right after a shed even in the shed.

You don't have to wait you can feed on your regular day, some BP do refuse food while in shed however I always offer to all of my BP regardless and very rarely have a refusal

They defecate whenever they are ready it can be once a week, can be once a month can be more. However since he is about to shed be ready for a nice present ;)

Thanks all, I came upstairs a few minutes ago and seem to have caught him just about to shed!!! I really lucked out! I can see the skin starting to come off at his nose, and he's rubbing himself on stuff in his enclosure trying to help it along. I'm gonna go watch now with the spray bottle at the ready!

I'm sure snake poop is nothing compared to my beardie's daily poops... whew, that stuff stinks!
