Daytona Questions
Hey all-
First off is Daytona called the National Reptile Expo? Cause I tried googling "Daytona" and got a lot of infomation about Daytona...not the reptile expo. LOL.
Second, does it run every two years? I was looking at attending in '08. I am getting married in August of '08 and thought it would be fun to honeymoon in FL, and *casually* pop in that the reptile expo is there. :P I only found dates for '07 and '09.
Third. If i were interested in picking up a few animals how does one go about shipping them? Do I go and say I am interested in this and that and that, can you ship them to me? Or would a care ride home be ok, I live in Ohio and we'd probably be driving down there....

Re: Daytona Questions
Here is the website: http://www.reptilebreedersexpo.com/
The show is every year.
Sure people will ship. That is usually not a issue if you got the money ;)

Yup, "National Reptiles Breeder Expo" ... it's a mouthful so we usually just say "Daytona". ;)

Every year. I believe it always works out to be the 3rd weekend in August each year give or take, but I could be wrong.

Most breeders will gladly make arrangements for shipping your purchases to you when they return home ... alternatively, a car ride home to Ohio wouldn't be a problem for most herps.
Daytona is awesome if you're in to reptiles ... between the show and "the scene" afterwards, it's a great time! You'll enjoy it for sure.
When you go, make sure to grab the guy with the big mouth wearing the "8 Ball Pythons" shirt and say hello. :D:D:D ;)
Hope this helps.

Re: Daytona Questions
I think it's safe to say the Daytona show is the biggest show in the year, but what about the second/third biggest show? Could someone please list the top 5 reptiles show in term of quantity of vendors and quality(big name breeders)
I live in Thailand and plan to go to the Daytona, however the date might conflict with my import schedule. I mean I don't want to risk having all them animals stay in the unopened box for 7 days until I came back...I think some of them won't make it...or even all of them :D
So if I miss the Daytona, which is the next best show I should go to? I import mainly on morph Ball Python, Leopard gecko, bearded dragon, cornsnake and I want to meet most of my suppliers in person too (JMG, Jared Horenstein, Amir, Ron Tremper, Bayou Reptiles, Geckos etc, Garrick Demeyer, Dachui, etc. I also want to find more new suppliers as well.
Is the show in Aneheim(what's its name?) a big show worth flying half the world to attempt? It's in September right?
thanks
