oka its been a 6 days since i last attempt to feed monty, i looked into his tank to day to change water and realised that his eyes are cloudy and skin in EXTREMLY dull...so i think hes about to shed. should i still attempt to feed him or leave him untill this expience has passed? also is it normal for BP's to stay in there hide during the shed. because he seems to be enjoying his sleep at the moment :)

Yeah its normal for them to hide. There vision is not the best when there blue. I don't offer when there in shed, I just leave them alone. It's up to you, I know a lot of people who offer during blue, and there bp's eat. Right after they shed, I offer food and they eat.

There's a great sticky here about the shedding process. Always worth a good read through it (as well as another sticky about what to do if a shed goes bad). We offer during shed, same as always, every Wednesday night. If they want it, they eat, if they don't, they don't. :) It's quite normal for your snake to hide even more during shed or be a bit antsy about being bothered by you. It'll pass soon and you'll have a lovely, shiney snake to admire. Remember after the shed to check the snake well, especially the eyecaps and tail tip, to make sure all the old skin came off.
