    purchase Q: fast answer needed
Hey all, just a quick question.

I'm putting together an order from ReptileBasics and want to get the Ultratherm pad for the cage I'm building. Cage will be 42x18x18. Which size pad do I need to get?? I'm thinking 11x23 but would like some expert verification before I order it. :)

    Thanks

generally speaking you want your heat tape/pad to cover 1/3 of your cage on the warm side. you can go bigger if your house is on the cool side. if you have questions you can also give rich a call and he will be able to set you up with exactly what you need. :)

Cool, as I thought as far as size goes. To save $$, we keep the apartment around 82-85 in summer and 70-74 in winter(I'd put it lower, but the reptiles, and my partner, wouldn't like it :)).
I suppose I'll hold off on the order till tomorrow when I can call Rich.

    Thanks, Emily. You're terrif! :fest2:
