    Soaking Question
Hello everyone!! :) Just had a question about my Columbian boa. About a week ago, I introduced a very large water dish into her home to help with humidity and because her cage is large enough to have a bigger dish. Since the day I put it in I have only noticed her not soaking in it 4 or 5 times. Is this normal for Columbian boas?? Are they supposed to be constantly soaking? She's not ready to shed as she just shed 2 weeks ago and I have examined her a few times for mites, which she has none of. I thought this was funny behaviour because she HATES the bath tub. Could it be because I took her hide out of her cage when I put the new water dish in..... she was way to big for the hide and wasn't using it as much as she used to.... has the water dish sort of taken over as a place to squeeze into for her for comfort? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

she hates the bathtub because you are forcing her to be in it. animals don't like to be forced.
It could be a sign of a problem, such as dehydration. But also it could just be she wants to be in there. As long as she is in good health and your habitat is set up correctly temp and humidity-wise then she's probably just fine

My RTB will soak when he is in shed or needs to take a poo.

and in the poo case...he leaves it behind in the water dish.

but I don't really ever see him in there other than that.
