Which hides do you like?

Ok, so below is a pic of the two kinds of hides I'm using currently. Both cost me under a dollar each, and are for relatively small BP's. The bowl is about 6" round, and the tray is 8" round.

Another question.. up to what size do you think these hides would be usable?

personally i use the green ones for all my snakes (different colors and sizes). i don't cut the hole in the top i just use a pair of scissors and make a door on the side.

I use the one on the right. Nice and low so they crawl on top of them and use them as a hide which is nice when using a rack system and height is limited. I don't cut any holes in them either becasue the darker the better inside.

How do they get inside if you don't cut any holes in them?

I use the ones on the right. I buy out all of them at my Walmart regularly. I use a hole saw to cut a hole in the top

I've never had a problem with the little buggers wessling under the lip. Remember snakes are great at escaping and if theres a way they'll find it. Hole or no hole I really like those hides.:)

I have all sizes from small to extra large...Easy to clean and nice and dark for the BP enjoyment!

I use the same ones monk! They are dirt cheap and do the job very well. I keep 2 in every enclosure.

Where do you guys get those for cheap?

I have plastic flower pots that I'm thinking of using for hides. Does cutting the plastic make it dangerous for the snake? It seems that scales could easily get stuck on the thin plastic. Also, when members/owners say the snakes like a tight fit on all sides, does that include their top? I'm worried that if I cut my pots to the size I'm thinking, they will still be too tall. The hide would then be about 8 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall. Sound okay or no?
