    Just Wondering
    Hi all,

well after five weeks of owning our baby ball python she finally had her first shed with us...i tried my best to keep the humidity from 65-70 but it would hover from 58-63 . Anyway two and a half days ago her head peice popped off and she managed to get maybe an inch or two off of her neck, but that was it.
After a quick search in these forums i decided to give her a warm (not to warm) soak, and let her crawl around and inbetween a damp towl and it worked like a charm! I only had one concern...after she finished crawling out of her old skin, i picked her up to put her back in her enclosure and noticed there was a little bit of blood just around the vent :O It was just a tiny little bit, it didn't appear that there was any damage done to the vent area that i could see, and it's not even like it kept bleeding, there was just that tiny little bit and when ishe was cleaned off there was no more.
I was just wondering if this was any cause for concern or is this something that happens ocassionally

Thanks in advance for any replies
    Jason

P.S. sorry about the long post

    Hey, Jason!

It's normal. Doesn't happen every time, but it does happen! :D

    You are very welcome!

Next time you see your snake turn blue, it's pretty easy to throw a humid hide together so you won't have to do the soaking. Sounds like you did a great job with this stuck shed, though :)
