Adult Sunglow Corn for sale
I am putting Trigger up for sale. I took this snake in as a rescue from an acquaintence, and it is not a good fit. I am 100% into my BPs (and boa) and not one for smaller, thinner snakes.
Trigger is not "puppy dog tame."...gets excited and defensive when you go to remove him from his tank. He will tail-rattle and hiss, but in my experience, once he is removed, he simmers down and is more interested in exploring your arms, etc. He reacts badly with inexperienced handlers and can sense their nervousness, especially if his handler is not supporting his body correctly and causing him to flail around with fear of falling. For someone who knows how to support and properly handle a skinny, fast snake, he would be a great collection addition.
He is a healthy adult. I do not see anything wrong with him other than a small bump/scar from an old mouse bite. He sheds clean and is energetic and has the appetite of a pig. I feed him homegrown rat hoppers. He has never refused a meal in the months I have had him. His former owner had him on f/thawed adult mice so I am sure that he would take pretty well anything ;)
Incidentally, he gets much more stressed during shed times. :)
I am selling him as unsexed though. He was from a local pet store that bred him, and the former owner was told that he was male. I cannot guarantee this 100%, but it seems logical; why sell a sunglow female as a male? He was definately capively born and bred. Internal-parasite free tested, a few months ago.
I am open to offers. I am working on getting Fedex certified to ship; until then, I can hold him for you with a 10% deposit. I do not mind feeding him for a few months if that's how long it takes to get certified. I am not in a huge hurry to toss him away; I more want him to go to the right person. Just a happy update. :) I found a local couple who will be taking him in. They have lots of snakes and are experienced with Corns. Good stuff.
