My mother is crazy...

My brother is 15 and into the death metal music atm. He's been going to alot of concerts of these smaller bands that are just getting started, and has gotten to know some of the guys from the bands (My brother has long, curly, red hair...you don't forget him once you meet him) Anyways, he went to a concert the other night, and after the show told my mom that he found out that the guys from two of the bands didn't have a place to stay for the night. So, my mom being the crazy woman she is, tell him to invite the guys from both bands to stay at our house (I'm in collage in a differnt state, so I unfortunately missed all of this). Our house is pretty small, and there ended up being 9 full grown guy staying there. My brother was thrilled beyond all reason, and they guys were really cool from what they told me. She said they didn't even cuss while they were there. There were guys crashed all over the house tho. :P On the chairs, any open floor space, etc. Then my mom fixed breakfast for all of them in the morning. My mom is awsome!! :D She was saying that since my brother is in a band, if they were ever to travel, she would want someone to put them up for the night, so she will put up whoever needs it for the night. She's a crazy woman...but that makes her that much cooler!! ^_^

Anyone else have crazy parents/spouses that are so crazy they are cool? :D My brother said he had pictures of all those guys while they were there, so I'll put those up when I get them. :P

Dammit why weren't my parents ever that cool? :D Believe it or not, even guys in death metal bands are human too, most are pretty friendly. :)

My parents got divorced and both remarried to people who hate(d) my guts, so I never had any awesome/crazy moments with them involved. ;)

That setting sounds like many nights at my friend's house in my teens :D
I have a funny "mom" tale. It was about 6 years ago. my friend and I were hanging out with our boyfriends at my house (lived with the Momster..) Anyway, the guys were napping in my room (one in a chair, the other on my bed) it was no big deal. But my mom was livid! Yet she whispered o not wake them up.. WHY as my boyfriend in my room sleeping, with another girl?! LOL; my friend's boyfriend had long hair, and was quite effemate; turns out tha Mom thought he was a girl. I explained that we were all zonked out and they needed to sleep off a few hours; my mom immediately relented.
Death metal guys are the best. I am marrying one. :)

Shannon, you do have a very cool mom! Good for her! I'd have been the same way, band members or not, they are somebody's kid and needed a safe place to sleep. As long as they are respectful, don't cuss in front of the little kids, and bring their dishes back to the kitchen, I'd have pretty much done the same (course in my house they'd have gotten roped into cleaning some rat cages since they were all just hanging around anyways LOL). :)

ah what a great mom you have... honestly i would have done the same without a moments hesitation. :P

Ah....I don't have anything against death metal people. Didn't mean for it to come off that way. ^_^ All of my brothers friends are into it, and most of them are pretty cool. :P I don't like the music (well, I don't like the screamy stuff, but the actual music is pretty good) but the people can be alot of fun. :D

I was going to put up a picture of my brothers absolutly crazy hair....but I can't get the gallery to cooperate. =/ I'll try again later. ^_^

Ha! My mom is just like that! Actually, both of my parents are. I'm very lucky, I want to be just like my mom. :D

I see what you were saying about them being Death Metal band members. The outer look is of guys who would trash the house and eat the cat. But when you look closer, they are just folks making a living in an odd way. They can be super nice, or super butt-headed .... just like the rest of us.
Sounds like they were great guys, and I hope they fire the manager! They should hire the mom instead!
