    ok i was wondering if my snake were to get it how soon would she show signs? And what would they be? I ask because i have just bought a RTB and i have it in another room but it has mites and i was actually picking off some of the mites with tweezers and forgot to wash my hands before handling my bp so i am freaking out. THe chances of her getting it are slim and so are the chances of the rtb of already having it, its just such a scary disease. Someone please calm my nerves.

    If your bp had it... you would know before long. There are some bizzare neurological symptoms that pop up out of nowhere, and reguring.

    Is there some reason you suspect this, or is it just paranoia?

    You should never go from a snake in quarantine back to your established snakes. That basically blows any QT out of the water. Do your established snake(s) first, then your QT's last and don't go back to the first group afterwards. IBD, mites, RI's, sharing prey items or husbandry tools...whatever, you aren't protecting your snakes unless you follow QT to the letter.
