    Say what?
Just when I thought I understood a little about genetics, a snake comes along to humble you...

    Paradox Albino

I wouldn't even call this a paradox in the typical sense. It looks more like a Piebald thing going on, and apparently they got two of these in the clutch. Cool stuff...

It's a paradox. Part normal coloration and part albino. They randomly pop up from time to time. Personally, I think they are butt ugly though.

I think it looks pretty cool, but where have you seen this before? All of the paradox albinos that I've ever seen just looked like an albino with a black smudge or smudges, but not normal coloration throughout the snake.

I'll really blow your mind.... some paradox stuff isn't the homo form of the gene. Me and Cue were talking about that. How that paradox albino could really be a het albino and not a homogeneous albino thats the cool part. Sometimes the recessive genes influence some of the cell development and and then the wild type half takes over. :D:D:D

So for all we know the Het to Het breeding produced 2 100% het albinos (paradox) and 1 poss het albino and they missed on their odds. :D

How ya like them apples :D

That's right, didn't Ralph produce a homo looking snake last year from a het breeding? I think it was a clown or caramel...

hmmm.. and the only way to prove if its het or homo would be to breed it then? how would you be able to tell if its het or homo if both a het and a homo could produce visible morph offspring? either way.. I like it. gimme gimme gimme. :D

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that! It's cool, but the thought that entered my mind was 'Ball Python...Dalmation?'

If you bred it to a visual albino (homo) to this snake and hatched out any normals, then it would be proven as a het rather than a homo...because two homogoyzous albinos bred together would produce all albino babies.
