    ok, it may just be the light, and it is proberly its eyelids *do they have em? :S* but today while my snake was alseep while basking in its water, her eyes were complety black.. and this maybe the light but id fought i would just ask. :) u peeps are so helpful


    o and btw.. is it normal for me to stand there staring in the night, cos im fasinated by the muscles and movment and how elegant she is? :)

    just cos people will read this and i dont wanna create anotheer topic....

    i know i should not feed my snake in the tank... so how do i feed... can i put some paper on my bed and do there... or use my balconay with paper *tis 30-40C at 6-8pm

    just a wondering

    :8: Feed him in his enclosure!!! Its just the lighting normals usually have a little brown in the eyes. And yeah its a little wierd that you enjoy watching the muscles, hhahahaha no im joking i guess thats cool. :salute:

    Hey there,

    Snakes do not have eye lids, they can not close their eyes. They have a piece of skin over each eye to protect it. Think of it like a contact lens. Also their eyes are a dark brown.

    Also feeding in the same enclosure is just fine. Actually if you have heard that feeding your ball python in the tank that it lives in that it will associate your hand with food... that is the big false rumor. Some snakes will not eat outside of their tank, and it kind of stresses them out in the process. Another thing to think of is it's not good to handle a snake after it ate for at least 48 hours, so moving it back into it's tank may stress it out.

    Looking at it in the dark.. LOL I think a lot of us do this. :)

    ty all... ok tank it is.... o and can i handle it... cos someone said dont handle for atleast 2-3 months... i CANT dotht.... it looks so cool... must stroke...


    good at least it isent just me tht finds them fasinating... :)

    after feeding him wait about two days to handle him. You dont want a regurge. Yes they are super fascinating, i love looking in on the racks to see what there doing.

    racks, isent that some kind of medivial tourtor device.... look around for help :P.. no reallly what is a rack... sounds cool.... urge to get one for some reson.

    racks are just like a shelving system which contains plastic tubs which you can more easily house snakes in.
