Mites!....

So, my Star defiantly has mites. I got the P.A.M in the mail yesterday. I read the instructions very carefully. I just wanted to see if there was any suggestions from any of the wonderful people on here that have used it before. I am going to treat Donut too because there cages are right next to each other.

Has anyone used this with an amphibian in the house? It says to use it in a different location than my amphibian. Does that mean I could use it in a different room or should I move my frog outside for the time being.

As far as I am aware, it IS harmful to amphibians. Its not going to remain airborne. Take the frog out of the room for now and treat the snake's enclosure (bedding and furniture), Make sure you remove the water bowl first. Just a few short bursts is plenty. Then let it dry a few minutes, put the snake and clean water back in. It is extremely safe when used as directed.

I would second that. Frogs are very susceptible to anything that comes into contact with their skin, as they absorb water through their skin. I would move the frog to a far-off room or outside if the temperatures are not drastically different.
It is a great idea to treat both snakes. I only noticed mites on three of my snakes when we had them, but I treated and eradicated them.
