new "rescued" burm
well, he's about 8 ft. and although he's really skinny, he already ate a frozen/thawed small rabbit today, so we're off to a good start... He's pretty laid back, but comes after you right now just cause he's so hungry...
the guy that we got him from rescued him a couple years ago and now had to find a new home for him. Anyways, two years ago he was left in a rental property for a month without food, water, or heat (electricity was off)... The said that when he found him, he was really surprised he was still alive... he's come a long way since then, but hopefully it will be a good road from here on out... :D here are some pics, hope you guys enjoy!

Re: new "rescued" burm
great job on the rescue. pythons are relly tuff. you hear stories of people that keep them at room temp for years. glad to see that yours is doing so well.

Re: new "rescued" burm
You did a great thing, rescuing this burmese python  . Oh...and he must be pretty thin if a small rabbit left a lump in him like that:( .

Re: new "rescued" burm
Woo! Great job getting that boy.
I saw this snake yesterday and while he is a bit thin, he does still have good muscle tone, isn't dehydrated, skin/belly look awesome and he has a good temperment(even if he was hungry, hehe). I'm glad he's at least healthy and is ready to gain some weight back.

Re: new "rescued" burm
thanks, and I say "small" rabbit... it was a pound to a pound and a half rabbit... he does have some muscle like becky said, but you can still feel his ribs pretty easily, but with the way his appetite looks right now, he shouldn't take long to thicken up! :carrot:
