help me raise humidity fast plz

my phytons eyes are blue and im trying to bring up the humidity. i add antoher bigger water bowl but its stuck at 56%. i need to get it up to 70 but i dont know how. its a 20L with duct tape/foiled top. and newspaper as substarte. any ideas i need fast dont want a bad shed.

mist the substrate. or, if you have a humidifier, put it near the tank.:)

Im assuming its a glass tank, if so mist the sides of the tank but not the substrate.

I have to mist the cage probablly twice a day when my girl goes into shed. I have the same set up, and misting works pretty well.

*Edit* Whoops, just read the rest of it and realized you were using newspaper. I can't help you there....I haven't ever used it before. Someone else will chime in here soon I'm guessing that actually reads the whole thing before they post :P Sorry about that.

Make sure your water bowl has a large surface area.

Take the foil off the top temporarily and lay a moist towel on the lid. Worked for me back when I used tanks.

yeah its a good size bowl. plus i got 2 in there right now. still not going up at 56%. im stumped. maybe i should go buy some aspen and add it in there and mist it. only thing i can think of.

oooh... yeah, i didn't notice the newspaper thing either!:)

Make a humid hide.

You can use a bowl and put sphagnum moss in it and mist it once a day or if you can't get the moss just get a bowl and put some damp paper towels in it on the warm end.

so for the humid hide should i get some paper towl get them wet and ringem dry then just add them around the bowl inside?
