    funny truck pics..
These pics should be entertaining :) We lack a good trailer or hay carrier.. but why pay for delivery when you can just throw about 1000 pounds of hay in the bed?
Handling these bales is no small feat; each one is 40 pounds of akward, itchy, ouch!

Heh...that looks familiar. I've loaded many of those myself. Keeping those suckers stacked securely so they don't go bouncing off across the road is an art form!

Oh I hate loading and unloading hay and alfalfa. It sucks. We had 80 pounders most of the time. That stuff is hard work, I know how ya feel.

It is rough.. I would much rather load/stack straw. No little clinging-on seedy things.. 80 pounders! Woah, I thouhgt i had it rough!
Their weight does tend to keep them in place good.. but then they seem to stick like Velcro when you try sliding one off of another to unload them..

my dad's friend owns a cow farm, so while i'm not there 24/7, i know where you're coming from! i've unloaded and loaded plenty of hay bales in my life too. the little family "vacation" turns into me and my dad being farm hands. it's fun as a break from suburbia, but i cannot imagine doing it for a living! good for you guys!

We only have 2 horses to feed. I like you, also have a friend with cows.. now they go thru some serious hay there..! What would last us a few months would be gone at their place in days.
I know what you mean; a visit there invariably means workin' on something. It is nice to help out though.. but I never go over there in anything but work boots!
    Cool avatar by the way..
