I just fed my girl last night and she is starting to go blue, so the feeding kinda depends on the snake. I have heard people say that their snakes won't eat while in shed. IMO I would say try and feed him, just be able to do something with the mouse if he doesn't eat it.

As for the shed, he will be blue for a few days, then he'll look normal again, and then a day or two he should shed. About 5 days to a week-ish I think for the shed cycle (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't write down my girls first few sheds, so I'm going off memory) ^_^

Check out this thread - http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=28794It's a sticky at the top of general BP forum. It should answer your first question. As far as feeding goes, you can try it if you want. Some people have luck feeding during shed cycles and others don't. I personally don't feed during the shed cycle due to a couple of my BP's refusing to eat.

It doesnt hurt to try, All my bp's eat during shed. Also after the full blue its usually 3 days after for me. Make sure you start bumping the humidity up to about 65 or 70% until the shed. Good luck :salute:

I always skip the current feed during shed. Sheds can be very long- up to 10 days. I've seen 2-3 days of pre-shed reclusiveness follwed by 4-5 days of blue, followed by 2-3 days of post-blue. My boy is always totally wiped out by it. Once I thought he was dead. Usually, during this time he soaks non-stop and I'll change his water only once every 3 or 4 days. When I do change it I just have to go in there and very carefully lift him out. I change it quickly and he goes right back to soaking.
