    I would love to relocate to Atlanta, but my wife is against it. She says "Atlanta is nice, but once you leave Atlanta you are in Georgia." oops!

    Well she's right - but remind her in the next 10 years, Chattanooga will be considered metro-Atlanta! ;)

    Well darn!!! my husband is a program designer but is taking up Car Audio once he is out of the military. I love Atlanta. some times I think my husband can be a tard.

    He can't be a tard -- he is taking care of a the whole US by being there for our security!

    As for programming, I'm an old hand and it is becomming harder to find jobs at my level. Tell him it would be very good for him to beef up his security clearance while in the military. Then when he gets out he can be a consultant to the DOD. I did it and got a tripple increase in pay on the day I left the Army.

    Oh ok.. some people have a set start salary down here in florida for any level programmer.

    I'm in purchasing as a buyer, so I don't know what the starting salary is for software developers on the company. Based on the "finders fee" they are offering employees to find software developers, I would imagine it's an attractive salary.
