Well he started out as a really dark grey fuzzy and looked like he might actually stay that color...then today little dark grey Gandalf, turned into....

an Agouti! I've never seen a rat stay such a solid grey right up until weaning and then suddenly turn another color but this one did LOL.

So meet the newly renamed Charlie (thanks Becky!) who'll grow into a lovely breeder male for our colony.

He's got such a cute little face. I'm sure he'll make some cute little babies. Maybe they'll change colors too. (never heard of that happening before - very strange)
