    My fustration
    I went to a big book store here in San Francisco looking for the book titled The Art of Keeping Snakes . I look in the natrual history section only to find the only book they had herp related was one book on sea turtles. :confused: I had been there before and bought a field guide on north american reptiles and amphibians, aswell as a book about ball pythons. I asked a guy that worked there if they carried the book. The look that followed would have made you think I had asked if they had any adult books involving donkeys. The conversation that followed just put my panties in a bunch. It went like this;

    Clerk: Is there any art in keeping those god awfull creatures?(with a weird grin)
    Me: You are entitled to your opinion, but I just want to know if you have the book.
    Clerk: I know we dont have anything along those lines, We do have books on gardening equipment...........
    (By know I could tell he was just trying to get my goat, and he had)
    Me: If your going to stand there and be a :cens0r: , I will just leave. But if you would like to help me then I will recomend to your manager that you have excellent costumer service and should be given a raise $7.00 an hour. Im not sure if he will be willing to double what you are already paid. There is a good willl down the street and they can help you get some new shoes to go along with that big raise(His shoes talked ;) ).

    I left promptly after displaying one of my fingers to him. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

    I am amazed at the ignorance in todays world. :no: With out these creatures the wrold would be alot ugglier place.

    With out these creatures the world would be a lot more stressful IMO. I know when I'm having a bad or stressful day at home, just walking around with a snake or two helps me calm down and relax.

    I think someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed... or some one got told they couldn't take a lunch or something. Man I'd not shop at a place like that.

    Why thank you kindly. **tries to keep the crumbs off the keyboard for once**

    If the O.P. can't find any links to buy the book online shoot me a pm and I'll pass one along. Should be fairly easy to find though. :)

    What a rude clerk :(
    It might be just as well. Most books about snakes are either outdated or just plain incorrect in their info. If you find one that is worth its salt, that's cool. I have had trouble doing so, but I get all the info I need here. :)
