Normal BP colours?

i just had lucky out for a little handling session, i was taking a really close look at him and his scale condition etc, are normals supposed to have alot of flames on them? he's also got a really pretty salmon colour just above his belly scales on his low sides, also some of the alien heads on him are wierd, like 1 spot in the head or none at all, if my wife didnt have our camera i'd upload some pics, ill try to do that tonight, btw he ate 2 small hoppers last week, i spaced them apart by 2 days because he didn't eat his first week at home, should i just stick to 1 hopper every feeding day from now on? increasing size of mouse as he grows etc

I would say normals are usually anything but normal. they're extremely variable. Also why did you feed him once and then feed him 2 days later?

Think of it this way: Is there a "normal" color for people? How about normal hair color or eye color?

"Normal" Balls come in many different variations. Some have lots of alien eyes, some have more flames, some have a jungle pattern, a black stripe, a reverse stripe, granite sides, etc. Some are very light, others are very dark. Some are more red or more yellow. Normal Balls have a huge variation in patterns and colors which make them very cool to have as pets and for breeders.

he still seemed hungry, i spaced it out 2 days to give him a chance to digest the 1st one, but he was cruisin around checking all the little hiding spots the mice use in his cage so i figured i might as well give him a 2nd, that was last week, he went into his hide for a couple days , today was the 1st time i've held him since then, he's good to go, just had a big drink :)

I think that a good example is the poll that was just up for a week or so. Spot the morph. It was a great collection of all different kind of normals, and a ghost. Which is SOOOO hard to tell from a picture. For me anyways! :D But I always love to think that my babies are something special because of a few quirks they have.

Your best bet is to give him a full seven days before feeding again...even if the meal was a small one. Not that it will hurt him to be fed this way once in a while...but a practice of feeding so frequently can cause a great deal of physical stress on a BPs body.

The easiest way is to choose a day of the week (such as Tuesday) and always feed on "Tuesday" no matter what. If he should skip a "Tuesday" then you just wait for the following week to try and feed again.
