    Renovation Questions
The time has come to renovate my herp room. I have been doing some work here and there but now the major construction starts. I am getting ready to put up some drywall and had a question.

When I paint my walls will the fumes harm the snakes? I will be using Behr interior latex.

This is in my basement so the ventilation is not the best. I was going to open all the doors and a window or two and turn on some fans. It would be very difficult (if not impossible) to move my enclosures to another area of the house. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I would certainly keep the snakes out of the room for at least a couple of days.... :gj:

I would think if it is a water based latex there should not be any fumes, a smell maybe but non-toxic. Duron now makes even a totally orderless latex paint.
I know you can paint water based latex around children and pets ie dogs and cats.

I think I am gonna try Sherwin Williams Harmony. I checked it out on their website, it is Zero VOC, low odor and silica free. Ideal for children and infants rooms.

I am going to stop over there and talk to them about it. I am sure its probably $40 a gallon or more!
