I don't think you could mix boa with python.
It's a legit question. They've mixed species before, see the angolan ball and the superball.
A lot of people don't believe in hybrids. Some of those vehmently against ball hybrids are for wolf hybrids, which I don't get... anyway....
I think mixing boa with python might be a bit farfetched since they have inherant differents in physiology.

I would think that since boas give live birth and pythons lay eggs, that a pairing would be impossible.

    I am just speculating though.

I don't think that would be one of the reasons why it could not stop. I would think that the offspring would come out however the female normally does it. If you bred a male ball with a female boa, the offspring is still being fertilized and in theory she would give live birth still.

but the question is, is the sperm of a ball compatible enough with the boa's egg to fertilize it? I have my doubts seeing how genetically dissimilar the two are.

No, they are completely different species. One is ovoviviparous(boas) and the other is oviparous(Pythons), and they are not compatible. Even within the same general species, they are not guaranteed to have viable offspring(sterile, stillborn etc). Same with donkeys/horses/mules. All the same species, but they don't necessarily mesh together well.

no there is absolutly no way. I enjoy watching the outcome of hybrids because of their pattern but a ball python with a boa is impossible because one is live bearing and one is egg laying.
