    Baby Ball question
I own a rtb and i am planing on n getting a baby ball in a couple weeks. And i am starting to set up the cage. I know all the temps and read care sheets. But i have 3 questions.

    1. can a baby bp be is a 10 gall??
    2. And i have read that it is better to keep your baby bp with a consistant cage temp of 82-86 degrees. is this true???
    3. Is aspen okay for a baby ball or is newspaper better??

You can get by with a 10g tank. I would heavily recommend a rubbermaid or sterilite tub though. They have a better floor area when compared to a narrow 10g tank; tubs are also a LOT easier to clean than tanks!
You just need to make sure that the tub lid closes securely; you can use binder clips or even bungee cords to do this. Snakes can get out of the smallest gaps.
That said, you should read the caresheet for all the technicality on cage temps, hot spot, etc. They say it better than I would and it'd be redundant for me to retype all of that info :)
I would humbly suggest using newspaper for awhile with a new snake. You can monitor its feces/urate better and see if there are any signs of internal parasites (runny feces.) Aspen is great also; it is all about personal preference. :)

    Re: Baby Ball question
just wanted to add to this thread that i just picked up a brand new baby ball from amazon reptiles. she is a female and is approximately 2 months old. i have owned my first ball for 3 years now and he is doing fine. my question is re: the new girl is i know she is stressed being in her new enclosure (10gal tank) and i saw her exploring around but she doesn't seem to be interested in any of her 2 hides. could this be because she was living in the clear deli dish in the store for the last couple of months? i can't remember how my other ball behaved when i first brought him home. any input would be greatly appreciated. maybe i'm jumping the gun and should give her more time to acclimate.

    thanks
