Post It is about just about 7 months old so it still may be too early to tell. I can't remember the exact hatch date, I would have to go back and look.

the bulge (or lack thereof) looks female but i can't be certain without seeing a photo of the pre-anal area so i can check for pores. if you can get a straight on shot of that i can see if i can tell you something more certain. :)

Emily rocks at sexing them! She pinned Simpler as a male waaaaaaay before it was obvious! :oops:

I will get some pics, I will have to wait until later when the kids are sleeping though. Post it is sleeping too, tends to get a little grumpy when I wake her up lol.

ha thanks laura. after studying 100+ crestie bums over their transitions from hatchlings to adults it starts to become second nature. :P

i can't really say for sure from those pics. the glass in front of post-it is distorting her just enough that i'm not totally sure--i see what looks like a few little pores, but at her age she would have more than that if a male so it's probably just color variation. i'm not sure about slurp either--it just not close up enough for my bad eyes to tell. if you see pores in the area where his coloration changes from darker to brighter orange that he's definitely male, i just can't quite tell. you may have to bust out the MOAC. :P

Thanks, I wasn't sure if they would work or not. I am almost positive Slurp is a male though. I will get them out this weekend and bring out the ole' Canon Eos and a macro lense.
