    My Plains Garter Snake gave birth to 14 young the yesterday. I AM SO EXCITED!!! I had no idea she was gravid until she gave birth. lol I will try to get pics soon.

    Did she stop eating during the gestation period? If so, that would've been a clue. My friend's eastern garter just gave birth to 10 babies only a few days ago, but it wasn't a surprise because it had stopped eating for weeks.

    No she didnt show any signs at all thats why it was such a suprise.

    I love Garters, they are such neat creatures :)

    I have a Wandering Garter Snake.. very young.
    Its very entertaining to watch him eat some rosey fish.. diving into the bowl after them lol.
