Time for new Hides? DUW
Alright, so I snapped a few more pics, but since they were indoors and in horrible lighting they do nothing to showcase my beauty. However I thought I'd pose a question. Bp's LOVE small places, this is a given. Yet, my gal seems intent on keeping her baby hides despite her growth. She still fits in them, but only by digging the substrate out from underneath them... I have made sure she cannot come in contact with the glass bottom over the UTH by putting that repti-carpet in, and the carpet is controlled by herpstat to not break 95. So... should I just go ahead and get her the next size up hides so she won't need to dig, or let her keep her beloved baby hides and let her dig away until she flatout won't fit at all? I imagine it's gonna be the keep the hides as-is, but thought I'd ask...
Now for the required pics... lol

Was not aware of this... I was under the impression that the stuff was safe as long as I washed it on a regular basis. OUT IT GOES!!!
Yea, she's never had a problem feeding before. She is the definition of a pig, reminds me of my beagle. I get the feeling that if I put 15 adult mice in her viv she would do her best to make sure each one never had to taste that nasty mouse mix ever again. How nice of her! :P
Yea, me being my lazy self will just let her enjoy those hides of hers for awhile longer before I replace them. She seems to enjoy them, and I get a hoot everytime a friend comes over, sees the hide and goes "wow she must be tiny...." and then I lift up that tiny little peice of plastic and a 3ft (give or take an inch) ball is staring right at them. I mean, it's not quite the same as when I pull out absinthe my RTB, but it is a shock nonetheless.

I don't see a reason for new hides they look fine to me.

Re: Time for new Hides? DUW
I guess my only "worry" about it, is that I imagine the aspen is actually at a higher humidity point than the air that registers on my accurite, so seeing as she is actually hiding more IN the substrate rather than under a hide box ON TOP of the substrate, that it may not be too healthy humidity wise.

i would buy one larger hide and leave one of the smaller that way if she does feel cramped then she can decide where to go.

Re: Time for new Hides? DUW
but then she would probably stay in the small one and not thermoregulate properly. maybe have 4 hides, 2 bigger and 2 smaller, one of each on each side, and see what she does. my guy likes using his hides as hats, and sometimes picks them up with him and moves around his tank with it. maybe to try and find a cozy spot.

Re: Time for new Hides? DUW
LOL. yea I have seen many pics of bp's wearing their hides as hats, and given as lightweight as these are I figured that's what would happen. Turns out she's not much of a hat diva and burrowed out the substrate so she can still fit.
