Opinions Pls - BP & Corn Snake Tanks & Corn Snake Skin *DUW*
I'm having a problem with my Corn snakes skin.
His eyes are kind of dark. I beliveve they should be nice and red. At times they are! but mostly they look rough. Kinda bulgy, and darkish. I know he also has a skin problem under his neck. Any suggestions... *other then the vet*
The pictures were hard to take but take a look and see. Hopefully they aren't too bad!

Also I have picture of my BP taking a bath. I hoped it would help her poo. It didn't... but she ended up going anyway *on me and my bed* YUCK!

Here are some picture of my setups.
Let me know what you think.
BP Hot = 93F Cool = 78F Humidity = 28% @ the time.
Corn Hot = 88F Cool = 75F Humidity = 35% @ the time.
Seems easier to get the humidity high in 20G tank rather then the 40G.
Also I dont use the corn snakes lights and they don't turn on at thoses points of the tank.
I guess I wouldn't have a cool side then eh!
They both have a UTH on the right hand sides.

You ball pythons cool side needs to be rasies to about 84F. And your corn has stuck shed on its eyes. Just soak him, and raise his humididity when he sheds, it should come off!:D

Yeah the temps have been buggin me for a while now. I'm still trying to get them right on! It can be hard as the seasons change too eh!
anyway I'll try that soak idea next time he starts to turn white (which I think is in a week or two) Probably a 30min - 45 min soak eh??
What about the neck? It comes off each shed but it's kinda wet and chunky. Any creams or something like that??? Maybe I should try the vet again eh?? She didn't say much expect to bring in his next shed once it is off.
I also think the corn has a respiratory problem. You kinda hear a weezing sound. That could end up being a big problem too.

The corn snake looks like it has scale rot under the neck.If you are hearing weezing then more then likely its upper respitory.I suggest you see a vet ASAP.

/QUOTE]I wonder what she expects to find out by looking at a old shed??  Please check if this vet is a REAL reptile vet and not just someone trying to learn as she goes along.

Hi,
I agree with Joe - You really should take her to see a herp vet sooner rather than later.
This list of canadian herp vets should help a little I hope. If not maybe some of our Canadian members could recomend someone local.

Thanks for the tip.
I just looked at your list.
They don't even have any vets in my province. gesh!
anyway I'll do some reasearch. But I know if I call any vet in Saint John NB and ask them if they have any knowledge of reptiles or are actually a reptile vet, most of them will say yes... just to get my business.
but I will still look into it.
The vet i go to now used to have two corns at her house.
I know for a fact because I saw them...
She kept them in the same tank?? a big tank but the same tank??!?!? Can u do that???
but i will look around some more!
