well this is what i got to find yesterday.
LOL... why can't i have animals that do things normaly?

this is the female i breed to my male that lost to much wieght so i stopped breeding them, after only three trys.

done the math by the book so to speak and when i got nothing i wrote it off as it did not take this yr.
never skipped a meal, never got testy would only soak when in shed, 2 sheds and one false shed later...
6 eggs all looking very healthy

well considering this was unexpected i didnt have anything set up.
and with the way she is acting, i desided i will let her do her thing.

in by the way she is acting i mean, she is not agressive at all, had her lid open while doing some spot cleaning and she come out as to say hi mom, moved her head off the eggs so i could see all of them, even let me pet her with out getting hissy about it.

the only talking i got out of her was when i misted the top layer of paper a bit to help bring up the humidity

    Dusty, congrats!!!

Make sure there is plenty of water for her, don't try and feed her, and make sure to check up on her periodically. I would monitor the humidity closely, and make sure that your heat will not be a big variant, and she should do you well!

    Congrats again!

If your are letting a female maternaly incubate the eggs what should the humidity be?

    Re: unexpected
She looks like she will do a fine job maternally incubating the clutch. If you happen to mist in the cage, be careful not to mist the eggs themselves as may cause to much water to just be sitting on them. As others have said, make sure she has plenty of water.

I would give her a week or two and maybe offer her a f/t rat hopper. If she will take it, fine, if not, no harm done.

If you are going to do maternal I would add a substrate to the cage that will hold humidity better than newspaper.
