How big is the biggest royal/ball python you've had?
Hi everyone this is my first post as you can see from my signature i own a few herps, I have owned herps for about 2 and a half years now and my collection is starting to grow quite fast, my newest addition is my 4 month old royal python i got last sunday. Anyway enough with the background info and back to the question: how big is the biggest royal you've owned and what is the average size? Thanks Will

thanks for the replie but i could still with knowing the average I've researched and it says 3-6 foot, really i was looking for somthing a bit more spesific.

From what I can tell 6 feet is considered extraordinary - ready for the snake NBA. Or WNBA I should say since females are larger. I get the impression that 3 to 5 feed is more likely with around 4 feet as average.
I've read they grow about an inch per month until they are 3 years old. You might be able to estimate the final length by looking at the age and current size.
In any case, BP's are usually fat for their size.

Mine measured 25-26" at around 8 mos.
You'll find most people measure weight. I'm sure part of the reason is that its pretty tricky to get them to straighten out! There is a program to help measure your snake's length but I haven't used it yet.

The longest one I have is 5 ft long exactly!

My biggest is a female... and is about 5 foot. She weighs about 2600g(estimated due to her being oversized for my scale).

My biggest is my first female she's about 1800g's

Our largest is a female, Brannagh, whose between 4.5 to 5 feet in length and last time she was weighed was 3,000 grams. She's gained a bit since then but trying to stuff her big butt in a snake bag in order to weigh her isn't all that much fun anymore LOL.
