    There's a lot more to a granite than just the speckling...I'd say yours is definitely a normal. A granite for reference:

    I have a few of them like that myself and I don't consider them granites. I call them freckled just to differentiate them from the other types I have. Sure, some of the offspring will come out with light spotting, but it's not unusual for offspring to look like their parents. When I think of an actual 'Granite' I think of an animal with large bold well defined angular looking blotches like the one that elevatethis posted. There is more to a granite then just a few spots.
