why is he in water? ball pythons aren't really soaking snakes, although some do soak, but most will only soak if they have mites or there are husbandry issues.

if it is because he is about to shed, try misting, or give him a humid hide that he can go into.

On a side note, get rid of the pine ASAP. It is toxic.

AHHH! Get him off of it ASAP! Pine can be deadly to BPs! Stick him on some newspaper!

Also: on a less exclamatory note, you don't really need to soak your BP unless he has stuck shed. Just keep your humidity around 60-70 while he's in shed.

um yea likek they said PINE IS A SNAKE (and pretty much all reptile) NO NO. get some newspaper down pronto.

and you can make a humid hide with a small rubbermaid container, just cut a hole and will it with damp paper towels, or pick up some sphagnum moss and get it a little wet.

whenever a snake sheds in my collection, i always do a full cleaning on the cage. New aspen and everything after the shed. Try that, and u wont really have to worry about misting too much and getting mold or bacteria in the cage.
