RTB newborn question...HELP!

Ok now that the babies are here and are this week going through their first shed I know it's time to feed. I have tried the ones that have shed on frozen pinkies and...nothing. They totally turned it down. I'm thinking live now but (there's always a BUT) I need a pinkie or fuzzy resource fast! So far none of the offspring have showed any aggression which is great for a pet but not so great for feeding time, can someone help me out? What are you guys doing now that your babies are born? Does anyone live near Danville, Virginia that could supply me with some fresh live feeders?

Sorry to say but this should have been part of your breeding planning well before these babies arrived. At this point, until you can find a regular supplier locally, the best I can suggest is phoning all the pet stores within a 2 hour drive of you and seeing if any breed rats at their store.

Hey man, it's ok. They will eat when they are ready too. I have two boas that still have not ate and they are over a month old now. As long as they are losing weight and/or getting "loose" feeling, don't sweat it. In the mean time, just start looking around for a live source for a Plan B. Even if you have to drive to get it, have it ready.

Boas can take a bit to start on f/t. I have 6 or 7 that are still eating live fuzzy mice. I start all my boas with the first meal of live fuzzy mice because I like them to have a naturally strong feeding response. Most of them switch over to f/t by the 2nd meal or so.

I can vouch for that Jimi, my girl is already eating 2 large pinky rats or 1 small fuzzy every week, all f/t.
Patients. If you have to, pick up some female rats 4-5 of them and breed them in groups of 2 a week apart. In about 1 month, you will have babies of your own and a few live meals should get them started.

Well I may have figured these little guy's deal! Today before I left to go to the gym I tried a few once again. Finally being that I have used this pinky a few time I decided to just leave it in one (#15's) of the RTBs container and when I got back....gone! Fresh off a shed and he or she ate it no problem! So next plan is to defrost several this week and go at it again. Thanks guys for your input though.
