    Everyone Meet Slurp
Found this little one hangin out at Petco (This is one of the nice petcos) I thought he was a cutie so i brought him home. He is a little Demon too let me tell you lol.

Anyway, here he is next to a Nickel. I know theres no for sure way to tell but about how old would you say he is?

Also, Is he a normal crested gecko? I don't know if I have ever seen a normal colored crested gecko. He has little stripes down his sides, and his dorsal area is darker. Not sure if he is fired up or not.

I have him set up in a ten gallon right now, I was a little afraid of him not finding his food but he found it right away and went to town. Hence the name Slurp.
    Thanks for looking,

He looks like my Wittle Foot, who is always about his size and is in a 10 gallon as well. But man is he growing quickly. That is a looker you have there!

Thanks, these little guys are so addicting. This is my 3rd one since January. I am really likeing these guys and am hoping to start a breeding project next year when they are old/big enough. I can't wait.

He's probably not completely fired up....but his color will probably change slightly as he ages anyway.

Good luck with him, I had a bad experience with petco cresteds myself years ago.

slurp is very cute! too orange right now to be a normal/buckskin--they are more of a tannish brown color. his color in the first photo looks like he is probably fired up there or close to it but like schlyne said, that color will likely change some as he matures. here is a guide to help gauge his approximate age: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...18&postcount=4 (the last gecko in that post is actually displaying buckskin coloration).

Thanks everyone. I think I am going to have to give him sometime for his color. Its really hard to tell when he is fired up. The last photo I used a flash so he was kind of washed out. Once he settles in I will get some good pics of him.

He almost looked reddish/orange last night when I checked on him before I went to bed.

Thanks Emily for the link. He must be really young. The crestie pictured for 2 months old is double his size.

These little guys were at Petco the other day when I went for crickets, I am thinking they were hatched recently. Maybe within the last few weeks. He is just so teeny and fast :bolt:
