    California King
i got an adult california king about 3 weeks ago. i went into a pet co. to buy some stuff for my new BP and the guy working offered me this snake because he was moving out of his parents house and couldn't bring it to his apartment.

it was kept in a 40g with a dirty water dish with no water in it, one half log hide that was too small for it to fit in, and the aspen looked like it hadn't been changed in months. it smelled and you could see poop everywhere and there were 2 moults still just sitting in the cage.
i moved it into a new tank as soon as i got it and have been feeding it thawed mice, hes always hungry! i think the previous owner fed it live mice, every time i put my hand in the tank to clean or change water he looks at me like i'm his next meal.
i'm glad to have him though, i think hes happy with his new home.

Lovely cali king! Sounds like a good rescue on your part.

I have two adult cali kings who also look at me as if I'm dinner whenever I open the cage (they come slithering out with their mouths open) however, they only eat PK mice.

You have a nice looking one there. Mine is still a small guy. Looks like your new kid has a good home now. Good luck with him.:)

I have a Cali. about the same size that I got from a guy who just wasn't around enough for him ^^
He's rather irritable though :/ The irony of it is that after I got him, my nippy-no-touchy Brazilian Rainbow calmed down considerably :P
