I am flaming livid -caution: rant-
Oooh.. am I ever mad right now. heaven forbid I can have a nice day at the homestead!
I worked until 2pm and drove home. I cut the whole lawn (a couple-hour chore that I never mind doing.) and then washed the Jeep (a half-hour ordeal for such a little guy of a car.) It was a peachy-keen day that far into it.. birds were chirping. Sun was shining. The chives are blooming. Well, I decided to hose off the atv. I pull it out, hose and soap and hose some more.. I get around to the front end.. one of the headlights is Gone.. gone.
Mark's cousins were riding it around last weekend.. no one ever said anything about breaking it. See, the whole corner by the light is broken too, and the cord thing that goes into the lamp is dangling there. The bumper round the light is fine (a lot of good it did..)
Argh. I work 40 hours a week. Mark works probably double that. We are nice and let some people use our toy and this happens. we have not even paid it off halfway yet.
I am cooling off though.. I called Mark at work and he was madder than me! But the good news is, his cousin agreed to pay for the lamp. But ooh; I am so mad! Please be Veeeery careful who you let ride your toys or your cars/trucks, people.

I'm sorry. I would be mad too. I was taught at a young age that if you break something that belongs to someone else, you always tell them the truth and offer to make it right. I have only had to do that once and I felt really good about myself when I did.

At least he did offer to pay for it, however he should have brought it to your attention and not waited for you to find it on your own.

I really do not think that Mark's cousin himself, broke it. See, he brought his own atv out and rode that. His friends (it is not like they were strangers to us; mark knows them by name and while is not bosom buddies with them, they are still a common fixture around here.)
Mark has drawn the line that I started today. No more lending it out to anyone. (unless we are right there.. no more trail riding.)
    Don't tempt me, Natester!

Unfortunately, it's the nicest people that get taken advantage of the most :(
Don't let it get to ya, relax, put your feet up, and have a glass of wine. Always works for me! :)

    Oh, Bummer! :(

I remember that my family bought a jet ski several years ago. We had some friends over who wanted to ride it, so we let them. They rolled it over, flooded the engine, and ruined it. They brought it back and didn't say anything. :(

Hope everything gets fixed up alright!
