Egg watch..

I am dyin' waiting her out. :) Her prelay shed was on May 9th. Now it is just a wait.. the incubator sits ready and waiting also. I am not daily gawking at her or anything, but I thought I'd snap some pics before cage cleaning.

I am bad at egg-feeling; I am just watching and waiting now :) She looks bigger and more miserable every day; i promised her a nice smaller-sized rat once this is all over, and then months and months of relaxation.. I wish that I was thus rewarded for my job!

Same here, I can't feel anything on bulging gravid females.... I figure if she's got eggs you'll find out how many she has when she lays... why bother messing with her? :)

What was the male?

sigh.. still waiting :) But I guess by all rights, she has until early-to-mid June.. she looks so big and uncomfortable now. I could never use maternal incubation techniques; I just want to give the poor girl a rest :)
The only male I paired her with is my Pastel, Ruger.
